Lycée Français International

San Francisco, CA

The historic St. Agnes School in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco was completely renovated to become the new home for the independent international French language elementary and high school, the Lycée Français.

The existing unreinforced masonry structure received a complete seismic and accessibility upgrade in addition to new mechanical, electrical and lighting systems. A contemporary entry design serves as a symbol for the progressive modern values of the school, while complementing the historic nature of the building and its surrounding neighborhood.
